SMAC is pleased to announce that Elisabeth von Trapp, the granddaughter of Maria and Baron von Trapp of "The Sound of Music" fame, will be coming to Smith Mountain Lake to perform at Trinity Ecumenical Parish on Friday, April 23, at 7:00 p. m. Ticket price is $15.00, and tickets may be purchased by mailing your check with a self-addressed, stamped return envelope to SMAC, PO Box 40, Moneta, VA 24121. They may also be purchased at the SML Visitor's Center at Bridgewater Plaza.

For those not familiar with Elisabeth von Trapp, she has performed professionally since childhood and enthralled audiences from European cathedrals to Washington D. C.'s Kennedy Center. "Before the concert is over, she will have the crowd gasping with the sheer beauty of her voice," the 'Boston Globe' gushed in a review of one of her performances. Accompanying herself on the guitar, Elisabeth performs a repertoire that ranges from Bach to Broadway, Schubert to Sting, and, of course, favorites from "The Sound of Music." She has released five self-produced albums.
