AFFILIATE AGREEMENT with SMITH MOUNTAIN ARTS COUNCIL
The Smith Mountain Arts Council (SMAC) and AFFILIATE are involved in promoting and supporting the performance, visual and/or literary arts. AFFILIATE will be a designated SMAC AFFILIATE. Both organizations agree to foster opportunities to engage in mutually beneficial activities in order to further each organization's mission and vision.
These activities will include, but are not limited to:
- Publicizing and encouraging support for each other’s events relating to the arts. Reciprocal website links hosted on the sites of both the AFFILIATE and SMAC, social media sites, newsletters, or other promotional materials, and at live events as provided to each other. Smithmountainartscouncil.com/affiliates reserves the right to require prior approval of all publicity materials.
- AFFILIATE will pay an annual AFFILIATE membership fee to SMAC of $25 payable online or mailed. This agreement shall commence on January 1 and will extend through Dec 31 of the same year.
- The membership fee will be automatically renewed by AFFILIATE and payment of the membership fee will be in effect at the time of renewal. If the dues renewal is not received by December 31, then this agreement is void. This agreement may be amended and/or terminated by written notice to the other party. Termination by AFFILIATE will not entitle it to any refund of the membership fee.
- AFFILIATE can appoint a non-voting representative who can represent AFFILIATE at SMAC Board meetings, and can change the representative by written notice to SMAC.
- SMAC and AFFILIATE will remain independent organizations and this agreement does not create a partnership or joint venture relationship.
