Past Event: Youth Arts Camp 2024

Purpose:

To share the arts within the Smith Mountain Lake Youth Community.  To expose children to the arts and help them discover their talents. This experience is designed for youth ages 8-15.

This is the second year for SMAC to offer this camp. Deemed highly successful in 2023, we are again offering painting, photography, music, acting and writing classes.

Sponsored by the Smith Mountain  Arts Council (SMAC). SMAC has a 35-year history of bringing the arts to the SML community.

Purpose:

To share the arts within the Smith Mountain Lake Youth Community.  To expose children to the arts and help them discover their talents. This experience is designed for youth ages 8-15.

Youth will have the opportunity to select up to three class for the week.   Children will be asked to park their cell phones in a basket before each class to limit distractions.

The week will end with a brief performance or display of your childrens’ art.  Please plan to stay until 1:00 on Fridays!
