Linda Kay Simmons

Moneta resident, taps into deeper truths for herself and her audience. Linda is author of ‘Cahas Mountain’, ‘Lightning Shall Strike’, ‘Lamb on a Tombstone’, and ‘Claudine, The Evolution of a Redneck Goddess’. She conjures stories inspired by people she has known and brings them to life on stage.

Jim Canody

Jim Canody

From Danville, VA., now retired at Smith Mountain Lake, has been in the music business most of his life. Passion for music took him on the road throughout the United States and overseas playing solo and with various bands. Jim continues to perform locally around SML on occasion and also enjoying lots of lake time.

Noelle Lane

Noelle Lane

Studied theater at Guilford College and performed in ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, ‘Standing on Ceremony’, and ‘The Vagina Monologues’. Currently is an ESL teacher for Roanoke City schools and a proud mother of an active toddler.

Sherry Butler Payne

Sherry Butler Payne

Worked on the line crew at Virginia Power in Altavista for 13 years. Obtained a BA in nursing beginning her career as a registered nurse in Lynchburg and nurse administrator in Chatham. Now retired at Smith Mountain Lake, she has discovered her creative side and enjoys playing music and writing songs.

Kristi Mason

Kristi Mason

A resident of Franklin County, was drawn to music from an early age. While living in California then Northern Virginia, she sang in a variety of bands. In recent years has ventured into the creative side of writing music, such as, “Moonshine & Daisies” and “Claudine, The Redneck Queen” which both go along with books written by author Linda Kay Simmons.
